Bricks & Battles

A Weekly LEGO & Gaming Hangout

What Is Bricks & Battles?

Bricks & Battles is a weekly Friday hangout where kids build with LEGO, play games, and spend time together in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

It’s designed especially for preteen and teen boys, but all are welcome.

There’s no class to keep up with, no competition required, and no registration needed — just a place to show up, build things, play games, and hang out.

Hosted by Cannon Castle at Nexus.

What Happens During Bricks & Battles

Kids can choose how they want to spend their time. Options include:

  • 🧱 Free LEGO Building
Large bins of bricks at the hobby tables — build anything you want.

  • 🕹️ Free Arcade Play
Classic arcade cabinets set to free play.

  • 🎮 Video Games
Group games on the big screen (Nintendo Switch) and optional console/PC gaming through Nexus.

  • 🃏 Tabletop & Card Games
Pokémon decks, board games, K’NEX, Beyblades, and more.

There’s no required activity and no pressure to participate — kids can jump in, switch activities, or just hang out.

Why We’re Doing This

We started Bricks & Battles after seeing kids who wanted friends and community — but didn’t want another structured program.

The first event went well enough that we decided to keep showing up every Friday.

No commitment. No expectations.
