What's Happening This Week
Kids and teens can join any of these weekly gatherings.
Families are free to drop in whenever it works for them.
Weekdays • 11:00 AM
Level Up: Math Skills
A daily math practice hour focused on strengthening core math skills. Students can work on assignments, practice math facts, or solve number challenges together. The goal is simple: build confidence with numbers through repetition and problem solving.
Mondays • 12–2 PM
Math & Money
A tabletop game meetup where kids practice math and money skills through games. Instead of worksheets, players learn through Monopoly, Cashflow, dice games, card games, and number challenges. Play games. Practice math. Talk about money.
Wednesdays • 12–2 PM
CannonCraft
A Minecraft meetup where players bring their own device and join a shared world together. Players collaborate on builds, explore, gather resources, and grow projects over time. The server stays online during the week so creations can keep expanding.
Fridays • 12–2 PM
Bricks & Battles
A weekly hangout designed especially for preteen and teen boys. They can build with LEGO, play card and board games, trade Pokémon cards, battle Beyblades, or jump into video games. It's a relaxed space to make friends and have fun.
Why Cannon Castle Exists
Most learning doesn't happen through lectures. It happens through doing things with other people.
So instead of starting with classrooms, we started by simply gathering people together.
Families began gathering together during the week to work on projects, play games, explore ideas, and help each other grow.
Over time those gatherings naturally grew into the weekly programs you see today.
Kids show up to build things, try new ideas, and make friends. Along the way they naturally develop skills, confidence, and curiosity.
The Ideas Behind Cannon Castle
Everything we do is guided by four life skills we believe matter most.
What It Looks Like
Cannon Castle gatherings are simple. Kids building together. Games happening around the tables. Ideas on whiteboards. Projects growing week by week.
Every gathering looks a little different.
And that's part of the adventure.
Where We Meet
All current Cannon Castle programs take place at Nexus in downtown Waco.

- Kids 13+ may be dropped off
- Younger children should have a parent present
- Food and drinks available on site

Where This Is Headed
Right now Cannon Castle is small.
We're building community through weekly gatherings, shared projects, and real-life experiences.
But this is just the beginning.
Over time we hope to grow into a learning community that includes:
- Young adult programs
- High school experiences
- Middle school challenges
- Elementary adventures
And eventually a campus where people come together to learn skills, build things, and live more dreams.
We’re building it step by step.
