This month, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9 AM to 2 PM, we delve into the heart of Waco's iconic sites. We've already explored the exceptional facilities of theCENTER and the busy world of Hewitt Library, Police, and Fire Departments. From Narnia doors and oversized volleyballs to Area 51-inspired rooms and rolling toolboxes, our adventures are filled with unforgettable experiences and learning opportunities.
Learn, Play, and Explore
We believe in the power of experiential learning. At Cannon Castle, we provide a unique platform for kids to witness, first-hand, the intricate workings of our community establishments. So far, we've explored a recreation center in downtown Waco, the Hewitt Library, as well as the Hewitt Police and Fire departments.

Our "Adventure Days" program is not just a field trip—it's a chance to foster curiosity and learn outside the confines of the traditional classroom. Parents, you can join your kids in their adventures at no additional cost or take a well-deserved break while they explore with us for just $25 per child.
What's Next on the Agenda?
We're still finalizing our itinerary for the rest of the month. However, we promise you more excitement and learning as we're considering prominent locations such as the Waco Convention Center, the Hilton Hotel, McLennan Community College, Baylor University, the historic Hippodrome Theater, and the ALICO building.

Meet the Founders:
The Cannon Family
Jeffrey, Sheena, Jeffrey III, and Josiah are the driving force behind Cannon Castle and the innovative Adventure Days homeschooling program in Waco, Texas. With a diverse educational background and a passion for learning, the family has embraced the world of homeschooling with enthusiasm and dedication.
Jeffrey experienced a variety of educational environments growing up, from public and private schools to charter schools, and ultimately graduated as a homeschooler. A self-taught graphic designer and web developer, Jeffrey now runs a successful web design and maintenance business alongside his wife, Sheena. The couple met at Texas Bible Institute, where they bonded over their shared dream of creating an alternative school that empowers children to follow their passions and interests. With a wealth of experience in education, including teaching at a local private school and Montessori certification, the couple is inspired by philosophies from Maria Montessori, Summerhill, and Acton Academy.
The Cannon family has been homeschooling their children, Jeffrey III and Josiah, full-time since 2021. Jeffrey III has already taught himself to solve Rubik's cubes in under a minute and is currently developing his own virtual reality game. Josiah has demonstrated his creativity and ambition by starting a YouTube channel (with help from dad), which has quickly grown to over 300 subscribers. With firsthand knowledge of the benefits of student-led learning, Jeffrey and Sheena believe in the transformative power of providing children with the tools to learn independently and achieve their dreams.
In addition to running their own business since 2010 and helping to build a school from the ground up in 2018, the family enjoys spending quality time together. Outside of their educational endeavors, they love building Legos, riding scooters, snuggling their three cats, and hosting game nights with friends and family.
